This is a truly great and in-depth article about recycling. It covers the way Europe and the United States have changed their recycling programs over the years, mostly from the eighties, since it took a while for the whole ‘let’s not fill a million landfills’ philosophy to catch on. It’s important to remember that, although the system isn’t perfect, it has come a long way in a fairly short time scale, with respect to human civilization, and hopefully that means that it will make even more progress in the next twenty years. So, recycle!
