Here is a story about a group of people trying to do the right thing after an eagle is shot by some despicable human. The injury resulted in extensive beak damage, which makes it impossible for the eagle to feed or drink normally. The plan is to attach an artificial beak, by glue, to help her drink and eat prepared food, thus keeping her alive and possibly helping her to even thrive for another forty years. The hope is that she will be able to serve as an educational raptor and surrogate mother for orphaned chicks. It is a violation of federal law to harm an eagle.
